Navigating the CASSA User Guide
This short guide looks at how to help you use this actual system.
Though this system's designed to be intuitive, let's just take a quick look at the main areas and what we've got:
- Top left - at the very top, next to the logo, we have quick links to User Guide and FAQs. User Guide takes you straight to the main documentation area, and FAQs takes you to -- surprise, surprise -- the FAQ section.
- Breadcrumbs navigation - underneath that, we have the breadcrumbs navigation which will instantly show you where you are in the CASSA user guide.
- Top right - we have your account details. This is where you'll be able to modify your readme.io account details as well as logout.
Underneath that, we have the Search facility. Click in the search field, enter your search term, and then press Enter to perform the search. The search results will show shortly after.
- Left - on the left we have the main navigation - this is where you'll find everything that you need. We've designed it to both mirror the app and show the main functions [that you'll be doing a lot of]. We're hoping that it's easy to use, navigate, and more importantly, find the info you need.
- Right - on the right we have the navigation pane/Table of Contents in the post you're actually viewing. We've tried to keep the topics as short as can be, but some of them can be quite long. If so, we've added headings and sub-heading to make them easier to digest. You can click to go to the particular section that way.
How the CASSA web app maps to the user guide
To better assist you in seeing how the web app and the docs align, here's an image to help (click on the image to embiggen it, or right-click and select Open image in new tab to be able to zoom in):
The items in the menu bar of the CASSA web app will display depending on what user permissions and access rights you have.
For example, with 'Switch company', (the pink box). If you only have access to 1 company, you won't be able to 'switch' to any other.
If you don't have access to Incident Register, then you won't see it in your dashboard. etc.
